Terms of service

These terms apply to purchases made through shop.perceptasolutions.com. Please read them with our Refund policy, our full Returns & Cancellations policy, our Hardware Warranty, our Pre-order terms (for pre-order items) and our Privacy policy. If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.

1. About us

The shop is operated by Percepta Solutions Ltd, a company registered in Scotland (company number SC895219). Our registered office is 4A Glenfinlas Street, Edinburgh, EH3 6AQ. This is not a returns address, so please do not send products there. Contact us at contact@perceptasolutions.com or through our contact form.

2. Products

Each product page describes the product, its condition (New, Open - New/open-box, or Used), its warranty and its delivery terms. New items may be supplied in retail or OEM/bulk packaging, as stated on the product page. Specifications come from the manufacturer; please check that a product is compatible with your system, power and cooling before ordering. Independently modified graphics cards are identified as modified on the product page.

3. Prices and payment

Prices are in pounds sterling and include VAT. Delivery charges are shown at checkout before you pay. Payment is taken when you place your order. A VAT invoice is available on request. If we discover an obvious pricing error before your order is dispatched, we will contact you. You can then proceed at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.

4. Orders and acceptance

Your order confirmation email confirms that we have received your order. Our contract with you is formed when we accept your order, which happens when we dispatch the goods or, for a pre-order, as set out in the Pre-order terms. If an item becomes unavailable before dispatch, we will tell you promptly and refund you in full. We may limit the quantity of an item per customer where a product page says so.

5. Delivery

We deliver to UK addresses. The expected dispatch time is shown on each product page. Pre-order items follow the delivery estimates in the Pre-order terms. Risk in the goods passes to you when they are delivered to you or to someone you nominate. Ownership passes once we have received payment in full. If a parcel arrives damaged or incomplete, please tell us as soon as possible.

6. Cancellations, returns and refunds

Consumers can cancel within 14 days after delivery, as explained in our Refund policy and Returns & Cancellations policy. Pre-orders can be cancelled before dispatch for a full refund. These rights are separate from your rights for faulty goods.

7. Warranty and your statutory rights

We must supply goods that are of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. Items sold as New carry our voluntary 24-month return-to-base warranty. Items sold as Open - New/open-box, and independently modified graphics cards sold as New, carry 12 months. Items sold as Used are not covered by the voluntary warranty. The Hardware Warranty page sets out how to make a claim and what the warranty covers. The voluntary warranty is in addition to your statutory rights.

8. Our liability

We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. If you buy for business purposes, we are not liable for loss of profit, business, data or opportunity, or for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability for an order is limited to the price paid for it.

9. Events outside our control

We are not responsible for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control, including manufacturer or supplier allocation. If a delay affects your order, we will tell you and you may cancel for a full refund of anything paid for goods you have not received.

10. Your information

We use your personal information as described in our Privacy policy.

11. Changes to these terms

The version of these terms published when you place your order applies to that order.

12. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of Scotland. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you may bring proceedings in the courts of the part of the UK where you live. If you have a concern, please contact us first so that we can try to resolve it.
