Workstation graphics / NVIDIA Blackwell

48GB of GDDR7 for graphics and GPU compute.

The NVIDIA RTX PRO 5000 Blackwell combines 48GB of ECC-capable GDDR7 memory with 1,344GB/s bandwidth for local AI development, GPU data science and detailed 3D scenes. Its active dual-slot cooler, four DisplayPort outputs and dedicated video engines bring compute and content creation into one workstation.

A full-height workstation graphics card with 48GB of dedicated memory and a 300W board-power rating.

Local models and GPU data pipelines

48GB gives local LLM inference and CUDA-X data preparation room for models, datasets and working buffers. Fifth-generation Tensor Cores support FP4 inference in compatible software, which can reduce model memory use. Workload fit still depends on precision, context length and application overhead.

Detailed scenes and design reviews

Fourth-generation RT cores accelerate ray-traced views of CAD designs and complex 3D scenes. Keeping geometry and textures in GPU memory supports rendering workflows, while neural-rendering features such as DLSS can assist interactive previews in applications that implement them.

Video production and streaming

Three ninth-generation NVENC and three sixth-generation NVDEC engines handle encoding and decoding for editing, transcoding and live video. H.264 and HEVC 4:2:2 support accommodates compatible camera footage; AV1 encoding offers another route for delivery. The application's codec support determines the available paths.

Technical specification

Specifications for the 48GB model

01 / Architecture, memory and compute
GPU model NVIDIA RTX PRO 5000 Blackwell 48GB
Manufacturer part number 900-5G153-2550-000
Packaging Retail packaging
Architecture NVIDIA Blackwell
GPU memory 48GB GDDR7 with ECC
Memory bandwidth 1,344GB/s
CUDA cores 14,080
Tensor Cores 440, fifth generation
RT cores 110, fourth generation
Multi-Instance GPU Up to 2x 24GB, or 1x 48GB; software and firmware prerequisites apply
FP32 single-precision peak 65 TFLOPS
FP4 Tensor peak (with sparsity) 2,064 TOPS

Manufacturer peaks per GPU at GPU Boost clock, not application benchmarks. FP4 uses sparsity; it is not dense throughput. Actual performance depends on the application, model and software support.

02 / Connectivity and video
Host interface PCIe 5.0 x16
Physical display outputs 4x DisplayPort 2.1b
Directly connected displays Up to 4; supported mode depends on the display configuration

Plan any power and display cables, installation accessories and software licences separately.

Plan your installation

What your workstation needs.

  • A compatible full-height PCIe x16 slot with dual-slot clearance.
  • Room for a 10.5-inch card, power-cable routing and suitable chassis airflow.
  • PSU capacity appropriate to the complete system, with approved PCIe CEM5 16-pin auxiliary cabling.
  • A supported NVIDIA driver, operating system and application stack; licences and display cables as required.
How does the 48GB model compare with the 72GB version?

The 72GB version adds 24GB of memory. Both models have the same core counts, 1,344GB/s memory bandwidth and 300W board power. The choice is primarily about how much GPU memory your applications need.

Can I use it for local AI workloads?

Yes, with software that supports this GPU and a workload that fits within 48GB of VRAM. Model precision, context length, concurrent requests and working buffers all affect the total memory requirement.

MIG requires a supported Linux driver and vBIOS configuration. Check display-mode requirements before planning connected monitors.

Can I connect four monitors?

Yes. Four DisplayPort 2.1b outputs support up to four simultaneous displays. The available resolution, refresh rate and colour format depend on the displays, cables and software.

Will it fit my workstation?

Check for a compatible full-height PCIe x16 slot, dual-slot clearance and space for the 10.5-inch card and power cable. The card needs one PCIe CEM5 16-pin auxiliary power connection, suitable chassis airflow and system power capacity that allows for its 300W board rating.

What is included?

One RTX PRO 5000 Blackwell 48GB graphics card in retail packaging, manufacturer part number 900-5G153-2550-000. Plan any power adapters, display cables, installation accessories and software licences separately.
